Today, you broke my heart,

I never thought you would go.

I never thought you would leave me,

I really did not think so.



Today, you broke my heart,

When you said you were moving on,

Even though the fault may lie with me,

I thought we’d work it out, and WE would move on.



Today, you broke my heart,

You can’t do this anymore,

I have hurt you too deeply,

Now you have evened the score.



Today, you broke my heart,

And I don’t know what to do.

I miss you and I love you,

Don’t think I can go on without you.



Today, you made me realize,

How fragile life really is,

I don’t want to lose you,

In my heart, you live.



Today, you made see,

How selfish I have been,

To only think of me,

And to never let you in.



Today, I fully see,

How much you mean to me,

This I hope to show you,

In action, in deed.



Today, I turn a new leaf,

And pray to God for you,

To realize our love is strong,

And for you, anything, I will do.



Today, was a wake-up call,

I just hope it's not too late,

One more chance, I hope you will take,

My husband, my life mate!
