Daughters, Three Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

Daughters, Three

I have three daughters,
They are beautiful, wish you could see.
I love them, more than life itself.

When they were young,
We played games of song,
And laughed, the time away.

Tee ball, volley ball and soccer,
Band, dance and cheer too.

With my three girls, it was always,
one thing or another.

They have since grown,
And it tears at my heart.
My babies aren’t babies,
They are now adults.

One, with her own children,
One, a surgical tech,
And one, finishing her last year
of high school.

My daughters three,
I am proud to be,
Your mom, confidant and friend.

My daughters three,
I wish you only the best
Of this world,
And the next.

Daughters are so special I only had one and breast cancer took her. She left the gift of her daughter for us to cherish and I love her to pieces. She is the brightest flower in my garden.

Hi Kimberly - Wow three daughters - God must really love you. For any Mother the gift of a daughter is mega special and in the same way for a Father. My daughters are Sharon 49 and Cherith 47 and I have a lovely Daughter in Law Samantha 44 they are all beautiful and I am as welcome in their lovely homes as I am in my own. I also have six Granddaughters - but that is another poem. The blessing of daughters is that although they grow up - they never grow away. Because the UK is so small (England is only 17% the size of Texas) ours are only 2.5 hours away and one is only 30 minutes away and we are all in the same time zone. The other thing we have - as you say in your lovely poem - is our memories. And unlike our forbears we have photos and videos which bring back lovely memories. Every blessing in your search for peace - keep looking up. I score another MAX. Love in Poetry - John. By the way we like Austin because in someways it is more 'English' than Dallas or Houston or Abilene or San Antonio - think about it! .
