Tired Poems Poem by Shalom Freedman

Tired Poems

TIRED POEMS

The poems of old age
Are sadder and more hopeless
Than the poems of youth
They are flatter
And without wild and great imagination
The poems of old age are tired poems
And they have too much despair and loss in them
How I would love to write the poems of youth again
But I am an old man already
Not getting younger.
