time heals the cuts
in my heart the inflicted
with the words you sliced me with
The pain when you walked away
the tears you caused when you said I wasn’t good enough
yes time will heal me
time will erase your memory
it will cover the bruise that your fist left
and hold me in a gentle embrace
soon ill be well
and later ill be great
because time will heal me
