Time To Come Down Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Time To Come Down

Time to come down

Long ago, when fountains
Spitted their waters
People saw and observed
What goes up must come down!

Then was born idiom…

True is for birth, death,
Dynasties and rulers,
Invaders, settlers
To the birds and insects
What goes up must come down!

Such great idiom…

Governments and rockets
The jumpers and planes
Duplicate the trend of fountains:
What goes up must come down!

I saw this in village
On the sides of mountains
And cities travelled
And in books, inside jails
Deep in times, future
Yes, gone up must come down!

In days of uniform, officer
Under two governments
(The kingdom and later,)
I was an observant, repeated:
What goes up must come down!

Then, later, on the run
I landed in Dubai
Watched the Sheikhs and smiled:
What goes up must come down!

Now I laugh very loud
At a zoo called: "White House, "
Visualise the mad dog coming down!
