Time Out Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Time Out

Time out

His right hand like a knife
Left hand a plate horizontal
T, to ask for: “The time out.”

“Who is who and what, what? ”
One shouted: “Cannibal? ”
“Who is cannibal, savage or invader? ”

Stories of old times
Paintings, Books, and designs
Show Blacks eating man
The same in other lands
(But Europe) .

Then read the article
“Franklin’s expedite”
(To Arctic)
There you find the reply:
“Who is the cannibal? ”

The looters’ politics:
“Divert, lie, and blame
Innocent for the shame.”
