Time Of Yesterday Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Time Of Yesterday

Once upon a time love was won, realized and put to
rest in the arms of death's lasting aroma, no more
chances to take.

No longer daring to be in the spotlight, because
now it's a lonely space in a time of yesterday
too sad to remember now.

Listening to the nighttime atmosphere being filled
with sentimental journeys of the past, their memories
persisting.

Wanting to outlast this little life forever, yet it
was once upon a time and now that time is gone, like
starlight in the early morning sun.
