Throwback Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Throwback

A throwback wished,
For many who still may get...
That wish for common sense to return.
With truth to speak it.
Without feeling to be ostracized.
By those who believed,
Being truthful and honest...
Had only been done,
By animated animals.
In cartoon movies seen on TV.
But censored when parents,
Discovered this to stop it.
Then to protest,
The minds of their children...
Were intentionally corrupted.
By those on the liberal left.
Trying their best,
To defeat the values...
Of the ones conservative.
Protecting the right to keep,
Their deluded lives lived.
Kept forever to remain and stay,
Fantasized, isolated and deceived!

"But mommy and daddy,
They are not real."

-And neither is that nonsense,
We prevent you to hear.
Or it to watch! -
