Through Streets Made Of Gold Poem by Cheyenne Ringuette

Through Streets Made Of Gold

Though it's taken some time
I am now letting go
because goodbye is just a window
to another hello
for who knows in life
what time shall take
and who knows in life
what time may make

I dream of your laughter
and it fills my heart
though you're no longer here
you are never too far
I miss you so dear
and love you so true
but time makes decisions
that we can't undo

As the years pass
and the October sky softens
I may speak of you seldom
but will think of you often
until someday again
we will walk side by side
through streets made of gold
where love never dies
