Through A Draped Sight Poem by Devanshi Khetarpal

Through A Draped Sight

Through a draped sight
Green trees look like
A gargantuan boulder hanging in air.

Through a draped sight
Books look like
Colourful pieces of a bamboo bark.

Through a draped sight
Flowers look like
Dead butterflies on the linoleum.

Through a draped sight
You look like
A guillotine ready to chop me.

Through a draped sight
The sun looks like
A colossal bowl of freshly brewed soup.

Through a draped sight
I see myself like
An angel with wings.

Through a draped sight
My teddy bear looks like
A massive, snowy spider.

Through a draped sight
The world seems like
A haven in a desert.
