This Is Me Poem by Chloe Evangeline

This Is Me

Rating: 5.0

The words
pour onto the paper
out of my pen,
filling the lines.
No one can read it
so badly mangled
but I can
It tells my story
the twisted story
a little girl
happy
so it seems
curly hair
blue eyes
an angel
now devil
innocent
crying at the slightest sting
shy beyond belief
from then to now
a lanky teenager
still the curly hair
but green eyes
unruly, wild eyes
screaming at you to stay away
the metal in them screeching
friends,
enemies too
scared of the answers
she sits on a hill
still not found
her eyes clouded over
with tears
She feels alone,
very alone on her hill,
until she hears someone sit beside her.
You Are Not Alone,
this person says
You Have Me.
She leans into the being
feeling comforted,
her eyes slowly, slowly
closing up.
