Think You Can Fly Poem by Mark Hopwood

Think You Can Fly

You think you can fly
But hit the ground with a thud
You start to think you can
The truth is you never could
You're just no good.

A plan forms in your mind
but then its bubble gets burst
You think its gonna get better
But it's only gonna end up worse
Life's nothing but a curse.

And all you done is too little too late
You turned from destiny
And all you see is your fate
Beyond the light is hate.

And you sit outside the circle
As you're mind just keeps on spinning
Stuck in a death without an end
And a life without beginning
I guess there's just no winning.

So the cross of changes you see
Is it finally starting to shine?
Or is it just fading away again?
Along with hope and time,
It depends on the side of the line.
