The Wish Poem by Mark Hopwood

The Wish

Make a wish, it might come true
Wrap it up in Grey and blue
Shake it well and add some black
Then you'll want to give it back.

No-one will take it, its left in your hands
I bet that this wasn't part of your plans
And you find out there's nothing you can do
Now its you that is wrapped in Grey, black and blue.

Make a wish, it might come true
What you wish for is up to you
Make sure fiction doesn't merge with fact
And hope you don't want to give it back.
