There Is A Dark Way
There’s a dark way
that cuts through us
and leads us from each other.
It swings through
all the hurt,
that lies at times between us.
There are times that you have to go
through life’s swamp,
to be on steady ground again.
Yet like an eagle
I rather want to get wings
to find the right way,
to your heart
and I want to trust in you,
unconditional like a child
