Then You Said That You Love Me Poem by Nathan Barkley

Then You Said That You Love Me

The sun already began to fall
There was only one bright star
As you parked the car
I could feel my heart began to call
For the women I love.
I was in the back seat
Your smile sinked into me.
I just couldn't believe
You fell right into my arms.

As our lips searched for our hearts
Our barriers began to fall
I wasn't thinking at all
It seemed that the heat
began to hide us from everyone else
The windows fogged up
My body began to think for itself
Our spirits where up
My shirt was ripped off.
Our gasps were restless
Where we being reckless?

Nothing mattered
We didn't want our hearts to shatter
From the movement of our hips
Clashing, and fighting with one another.
Stars began to explode in space.
It seemed that our hearts were in a race.
Your arms around my neck
Bringing me closer until our lips met.

When we fell back down
Our bodies touching, O how lovely is your skin
The cold began to set in
I could feel your tears on my chest
I was alarmed my mind couldn't be at rest
You told me that I won't love you anymore
That I took the thing you kept sacred
That I got what I was looking for.
That I won't need you anymore.
I looked into your eyes
What was going through your mind?
I could see confusion within your heart
Rage and love
' I will never let this love fall apart
I was one with you from the start
Your everything to me
The love I have for you can't be compared with the sea'
Then you fell right back on me
Then you said that you love me...
