Venom Poem by Nathan Barkley

Venom

Once again there she goes
Walking reviving hearts wherever she goes
Again I fall to my knees
Why is she so beautiful?
It will fade.
Why is she so graceful?
It's fake
Why is she so seductive?
Don't fall for it.
My conscience tells me no, but my heart ignores it
This women is not ordinary
This elegance controls the very essence of my heart.
Every kiss brings me closer...
Every look brings me closer...
Every laugh brings me closer...
Everything she does bring me closer to death
She bit my neck so softly, so passionately
My hands holds her hips tightly
How exciting...
I didn't notice she injected me with this venom
It flows within these innocent veins.
'I won't die for this women' I say

Once again i tell myself
Let her go...
I can't, i'm submissive to her gestures
Her cunning eyes pierce this very soul
The venom is taking a toll
On this heart filled with confusion
Why is she so loving?
It's not real
Why is she caring?
She doesn't care
Why is she perfect?
It's an illusion.
My conscience tells me no, but my heart ignores it
Just like the moon controls the night
I follow this beauty without question
Every touch brings me closer...
Every breath brings me closer...
Every moment brings me closer...
Every night we spend together brings me closer to death

To night i leave you
Even though I knew
This venom won't go away
I know you will devour me anyway
I don't need you i say
I know i will repent for saying this words today

She bit my neck so softly, so passionately
My hands holds her hips tightly
How exciting...
I didn't notice she injected me with this venom
It flows within these innocent veins.
'I won't die for this women' I say
