The Wise Forgive Poem by Thistle Wargul

The Wise Forgive

I’m being bullied, and they say I’m not.
They just say that I’m being over sensitive,
And that it’s because;
I’ve got a “difficult home situation”.
What a load of rot!

I’ll just have to stick to what I believe…
Let their imagination run wild...
They'll think that I’m up to something 'cos I won't react…
Scared, like they made me…
Always watched...
Always waiting...
Waiting for the trap they think will spring…
But never will...

You see, they let them get away with it.
They told them that they’d done nothing wrong.
Then all of them,
Are just going to bully worse,
Feel worse,
Forever.

Make them regret everything they’ve done…
Bring the past back to haunt…
Show them, the teachers too, that I’m stronger than that…
Prove that I’ve been done wrong…
Then do the worst of all…

The wise forgive,
But do not forget!
Not down to their level,
I’m not like them, I will not lower myself.

The wise forgive,
But do not forget!
No one left to help me,
So no helping them when it’s their turn!
