The Whole Self Poem by Randy McClave

The Whole Self

Woman, do what you want or can
Remember, you need not to always rely on a man,
A man you don't always need to hold your hand
You alone can help yourself stand.
You need no man to tell you who that you are
Or to tell you what's to far,
And you need no man to ever make you feel complete
Now re-read that line, and with a certainty repeat.
You don't need a man for a happy companionship
All that you need is a dog or a cat with a toy or catnip,
They will keep you feeling happy and amused
And not feeling sadness, pain or hurt and confused.
Blushing I will also say that you don't need a man for sex
Feelings and emotions makes fun more complex,
Sometimes the man will cry and will begin to apologize
Where if you were alone, you could had enjoyed the exercise.
If you want children you can always foster or adopt
Sometimes that is truly the very best opt,
Then your child can't be tricked or be used against you
Because being adopted, you're the mother and also the father too.
Don't let no man ever make you feel empty or worthless
So, others they can eagerly and proudly impress,
Once again you don't always need a man at your side
To make you feel complete or to bring you joy, happiness and pride.
This I will say with a certainty and for the very last time
Being without a man isn't stupidity or a crime,
Remember this, you can always make your own self whole
With your own beliefs and your very own soul.
