The Wedding Song Poem by Anand Rai

The Wedding Song

Rating: 5.0

A soft rumour hits the way all around the country,
Skipping never a turnpike or even the craziest bump,
Singing a song with its likeness that surround the boundary,
Pronouncing a future that you all can see.

Fill out every glass full of rich wine and drink,
For beauty be too small a word to define the bride to be queen,
Find all the containers where food has never laid its sight upon,
And fill it with wordless food and every hungry feed in.

Hear the songs sung by the chirping birds cheering aloud,
Lift every burden away to give way for the momentous joy,
A king no one ever had, not even in the skies nor the floating cloud,
Love has surely shone in our way.

Let every bird be out of it’s cage and everyone out of their shell,
For even the unforgiving is forgiven today,
My king just decided to get married on this very day,
And today will be a day full of tales to tell.

Joy speaks a thousand languages at a glance,
As the flowers sways in the rhythm of the song and dance,
Such moment that walks all around the place,
Finds a moment to rest in two beautiful face.
