The Vast Unknown Poem by DEVENDER SINGH

The Vast Unknown

Look! The soul is gone, and body dwells.
The moving corpses ring mournful bells.
Everywhere on earth humanity screams.
Oh! Life seems to be, but an empty dream.

Man is here and man is very much there,
But human in him is seen nowhere.
In fact, the earth is being overloaded.
Tell me where it has been embedded.

when nourishing milk is contaminated,
And every edible is being duplicated,
Can anybody think of eating ice-cream?
Then, how can people be what they seem?

If idleness is being very well rewarded
Can man’s misfortune be ever ended?
Undoubtedly, hard work will go astray.
Where man himself has decided to betray.

Nobody knows where the past has gone,
And future seems to be the vast-unknown.
When man has entered the death’s ring
How can the Almighty bring him spring?
