The Unspoken Poem by Obegi Oyori

The Unspoken

I looked at her
She looked at me.
I lowered my eyes
'Did it hurt' I thought,
'When she was falling from heaven? '
I cleared my mind, looked up and avoided her.
I felt it again.
That glowing stare, this time, differently
I cleared my throat; not my mind this time.
I wanted to confirm
That I was awake before I speak the unspoken.
'I love you'
She looked at me and smiled.
Turned, went away without saying a word.
