Love Unreturned Poem by Obegi Oyori

Love Unreturned

As the sun rose,

Nostaligic memories raced through my mind,

I wondered if I was at loss,

For letting go a diamond.

Of my first love it reminded,

That first person who stole my heart,

The time we spent together I

remembered,

Like this sun her eyes were so bright.

As the wind softly blew,

I heard in my mind her beautiful voice,

I tried to compare violet with blue,

But Violet was my superb choice,

So appealing was her complexion,

So captivating was her affection,

She was so friendly and helpful,

A beautiful angel that made me

delightful.

As it started to rain,

It reminded me of the tears she shed,

When that day I hurt her main,

I wished in her life I hadn't entered,

I thought, ' Would it have rained that day,

Her tears could have been washed away'

If the sun had risen that moment,

It could have dried her tears of torment.

As the sun set,

It reminded me of my unreturned love,

I stared at my watch it was late,

I had to move,

I had to forget,

That I ever loved,

I had to ignore the thought,

That my love had gone unnoticed.
