The Sun Never Sets In Summer Poem by Cynthia Aluning

The Sun Never Sets In Summer

lend your ears
to beating hearts,
spanning distances between
echoing whispers of minds
resonating with each passing time.

day in, day out
another sunset waves goodbye,
a new sunrise begun,
dawning seems so bright,
a sun unfadable from sight.

sunbeams, sunrays,
days ahead hold promises,
this beginning brings fears
because no life is certain
nor ever free of tears.

this token of faith
bonding'midst worlds apart,
this spoken love pulsating near or far
in unison of bodies in constant dreams,
wishing someday to be finally near'r.

sun wakes, sun dies,
hopes resound by and by,
each day longingness intensifies,
sense of fulfillment tho' rare
awakens sleeping hearts beyond compare.

in fiery veins blood boils fiercier,
each time awaiting a chance to get closer,
to feel heat like the warmest summer,
like sun, deep within...shining forever.
