The Struggle Poem by Kristy Shelton

The Struggle

Rating: 3.5

I can't stop myself
From holding on so long
I can't make myself
Forget everything and move on

I can't push myself
To be happy without you
I can't force myself
To go on and start anew

I can't love myself
If it means not loving you
I can't look at myself
Knowing all these things are true

I can't forgive myself
For every wrong I've done
I can't believe myself
Letting go of the one

I can't explain myself
My words fall short every time
I can't live with myself
Knowing you're no longer mine
