The Strange Woman Poem by NITHEESH ANNADANAM

The Strange Woman

Rating: 5.0

Her nose was long
But it didn`t matter.
She was stout
But it didn`t matter.
Her skin was dark
But it didn`t matter.
She hadn`t any hair
But it didn`t matter.
She walked clumsily
But it didn`t matter.

I went on gazing at her till I realised
That she was an ELEPHANT! .

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
One night as I was walking along the street,
I saw a lady.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

As Bernard Shaw rightly said it, the civilization of any given people can be judged from the way they treat their animals our concern extended to the themes of this kind will surely make any poem worth reading in a different context. A good idea shared by you, Master Nitheesh...
