The Spot You Sat In Poem by Nika McGuin

The Spot You Sat In

Rating: 5.0

And just like that
life marches on
humans are incapable
of grieving very long

The spot you sat in yesterday
is quickly filled by someone new, today
in steady progression - time never halts
like a train with missing breaks
it charges onwards even
when we dare stand in its path
