The Song Of Life:37. His Wisdom's In A Steady State

Attached nowhere, drawn to none,
Good, bad whatso, when faced with one,
Nor rejoices, nor does he hate;
His wisdom stands in steady state. || 2.57 ||

Here is the transliteration with the meanings of Sanskrit words:

yah sarvatra an-abhi-snehah tat tat prāpya shubha-a-shubham |
na abhi-nandati na dveśhţi tasya prajňā pratiśhţhitā ||

yah: one who
sarvatra: everywhere, in all situations
an-abhi-snehah: unattached, un-impassioned
tat tat: whatever
prāpya: obtaining, facing
shubha-: good, auspicious
a-shubham: evil, inauspicious
na: not, never
abhi-nandati:rejoices, approves, salutes
na dveśhţi: nor hates, nor recoils
tasya: his
prajňā:higher intellect, wisdom, consciousness
pratiśhţhitā:is stable, stands firm, shines forth

Here is another way of looking at a man of steady state.
