The Sad Elderly Man Poem by Suelynn Walters

The Sad Elderly Man

Rating: 5.0

I saw this elderly man cross the street
A few kids were calling him old man
His face so sad as he walked along
Why don't these kids understand

The Sad Elderly Man

His move was slow and careful
As the kids called him names
He paid no real attention
But anyone could feel his pain

The Sad Elderly Man

He looked up at a flying bird with smile
These kids laughed on and on
But one day soon enough they'll learn
When their youth too shall be gone

A poem of humane touch. Especially parents should see to it that their children never ever in life bully a weak person. Be it a man or woman, or a kid, never mind children should never do that. They should be taught that they too one day can become one. Thanks very much for the touching poem. x
