The Quest For Eternal Bliss Poem by Dharmanand(Raj) Dauhoo

The Quest For Eternal Bliss

Rating: 5.0

Engraved in the clouds
For timeless centuries
The writings endured the havoc of calamitous assaults
The eyes did not dare to capture
The heavenly message
The earthly torments
Conspiring with sparks of ephemeral joyful moments
Stood a barrier
A mirage, concealed from awareness
Realities bitter deception

Dawn, the naked angel
Stretched her wings in the dream world
The dark shroud melted away
Unnoticed, in sweet agony
The birth of an exhilarating new day
Brought a bunch of promises

The life of miseries and martyred deprivation
Drowned in deceitful ecstasy
Under the spell of beautiful heavenly hymns
Recollection of the soul destroying failures
Burst from the abyss of despair and loneliness
Until the angelic whispers
Ended the fallacious yearnings

A new state of bliss overcame
Entirely the heart and soul
The tired eyes were lifted
At last
To the fading words
Eternity's restless expectation terminated

In sorrow
The tidings fell
The long nurtured hopes rekindled
The forlorn vision
The eternal perpetual quest
For the lost love started over again.

Lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with spiritual insight in poetic diction. A beautiful poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
