Listen, The Wind Poem by Dharmanand(Raj) Dauhoo

Listen, The Wind

Has been long
The search for your path
Too heavy now
My heart's burden

In the world's turmoil
To my ears
The advent of a bird song
Serene, undisturbed, clear
This message
Not from your heart
Springs from heaven

Along the narrow
Grassy, winding way
The never ending path stay
Come, please come to me, dear sleep

The lighted oil lamp
Giving birth to an illuminated irruption
Silent whirls started
Of the caressing winds
Through my window shutters, they blow

Secretly, you come
A thief in hiding
Your majestic apparel on
You, sleep of my dream
Please come to me, sweet sleep

In rich, luxurious palaces
Silently you enter
In small, deserted and lonely cottages
Secretly you enter

When to me?
Perennial, my vigilance appears
So poor I am
Please ignore me not

You sleep of my dream
Please come to me sweet sleep
I have seen your path.
