State Of Mind Poem by Dharmanand(Raj) Dauhoo

State Of Mind

Endlessly, the sky wept
Heedless, I stayed under its roof
Subdued by the celestial euphoric hymns
In the heart
The veiled pain of a hoped-for happiness
Impregnated the aura in huge magnificence

The moon wrapped in opaque clouds, died
The wind moaned amongst wreckages
The earth thirst over-satiated
The trees, vulnerable, endured helplessly the downpour

Shrouded in solitude
Darkness, a companion
A soulless body in waiting
A prayer for a miracle
The obstacle in the mind, anymore an obsession
Vanished the invisible barrier
Nor any response to actions entertained

Cries that could burst the throat, uncontrolled
In the head echoed insanity

Through a rain tear
Your illuminated figure appeared
A desperate hand waved
On a chimerical shadow fell
Smoke melting in the air

Hallucinations, to the rescue
For the fulfilment of an eternal vision
Reality, so ruthless
An enemy in the light of day
The first word
A load so heavy
Under its weight I bowed down
Nothing worst than demise
A verdict in hold.
