The Pain Poem by Genc Kastrati

The Pain

Rating: 5.0

What a sadness when birds stop their song
The song they started singing in a chorus
While you were left like a wounded bird
Above your eyelids the brows show their dusk
And words remain somewhere in the leaks of the walls
When your voice is not heard for even a cry
The lack of it turns to be a silent death
How sad it is when the source stops its flow
That no more produces even a single tear
The turtle hides its head under its skin
When the first look in love is stumbled over
And you become lonely like a hanging icon
How much pain when hearts part like an apple cut in two pieces
When love is faint before it's been alive
And you wait my Love like a forgotten path
Now, how much pain will be needed till we meet again
Even the black horse gets grey waiting.
