The Nothingness Of Life Poem by Iris Mista

The Nothingness Of Life

At the end of the day
nothing left to say
all is gone and forgotten
love and hate, all rotten

Despair and loneliness
no place for forgiveness
words and promises
lost in emptiness

Eating all the lies
all that ever dies
only a stone can live
nothing to want nor to give

This is the truth on earth
nothing here is worth
to ever fight for
not even love, in the core

Nothing lasts forever
nothing worth the endeavor
at the end of the day
when nothing is left to say

Disappear in the cold dark night
no spoken word ever is right
as this girl knows so well
what was, is and will be.. is hell
