The Mountain Poem by Ontomu William

The Mountain

My Help comes from the Mountain
What this mountain conceal I comprehend not
The Lord climbed the Mountain
Whenever He wanted to pray
Why did the Israelites refuse to look at the burning mountain?
And instead asked Moses to speak to God from the mountain!
Why did the prophets climb the Mountain
And searched and searched for the man of God Elijah and found him not?
I am unable to explain the power at The Mountain
Of which Peter says will melt all Elements with fervent heat
And dissolve the heavens with fire
Even the Transfiguration took place on the Mountain

Oh the power, the glory on the mountain!
But Alas! The Lord Jesus Himself was tempted on the Mountain
But see, He could not give in
Because He always looked to the Mountain
He knew where His Energy came from
My friend Zacchaeus had to climb the Sycamore fig tree
I am yet to learn what resides on the mountains
Remember Lot, running from the valley to the Mountain
And behold! the woman REMEMBERED and looked back
And Immediately she turns a monument
May God Help His people
That we REMEMBER no more
And sin no more
As we climb His Mountain.
