Tomorrow will be better than today
My father said to me, when I went to him
After hurting myself, crying with childhood tears
My hurt kissed away with hugs to make me safe.
Darkness always gives way to the light
Banishing terrors of the night, bad dreams
Tomorrow is full of promise with new dawn
And future as bright as you can make it
With resolve, determination, seeking God
Climbing every mountain in life to the summit
Having faith in yourself and brotherhood of Man.
Smiling, my father told me of a Jewish man
Who taught of love and peace, walked upon water
Raised the dead, healed the sick, and loved the poor.
Bracely written, prfoundly told. That man walking upon the water was and IS Jesus our God Almighty! Crystal clear for christians as me. Thank you dear Collin!
Colin, you have written a poem that reminds me of my Dad. He was the same way. Bravo!
