The Man I Will Marry Poem by Leanne Aldigme

The Man I Will Marry

Rating: 5.0

When the time is right and the day is due
I shall endow myself to a man who is true
Who will give me sunshine through the rain
And cherish me when I am in vain

My delight will be his light
As his light will be my sight
His warmth will be my shroud
A guardian from the depravity of crowd

His laughs will be my strength
As my strength will be his fort
My happiness will be his prime devotion
My villain with heroic affection

His pain will be my pain
My joy will be his joy
My life will be his life
I am his and he is mine

I will bestow myself to a man of God
An unfeigned love made not of fraud
A man who shan't wield his fist in anger
Rather, wraps his arms posed as a shield from danger

A man faithful to his words
And does not indulge in thirds
A man who will fill me with gaiety
And not with grief and anxiety

When the time is right
I will adorn myself with delight
And walk in the aisle with no wary
To the arms of the man I will rightfully marry.

This is an amazing poem. The narrative and the imagery is spell-binding till the very end. It provides us a peep into a girl's mind and her idea about an ideal husband. A quote: His laughs will be my strength As my strength will be his fort
