The Light Unnoticed Poem by Friend A

The Light Unnoticed

Back in my childhood, I would wander through the night
While gazing at the stars, to greet the morning light
A justly light that could pierce through the night's darkness
Symbol of a new day and end of a night's rest
In a flash all the ends of the Earth it could reach
'There's a new hope coming, ' it always seems to teach
All the hearts filled with sorrow it tries to appease
But they're too unaware that the light chose to cease
If only they knew more about this glorious light
They would rush to the daybreak with their dreams in sight
The nations it could build, and the wounds it could heal
The joy it could spring, and the couples it could seal
The piece it could make, and the music it could tone
Only if we all noticed, the day it first shone
