The Last Call Poem by Asma Khan

The Last Call

Rating: 4.0

I was alone in the ocean of this life
when time cuts my heart with a knife
so many whirls took over me
in those moments gone and sight

I waved for help everywhere
but no sign to be found in the air
the pale sun set apart from the cold sea
in the depths, then I had ever dared

I wore my imminent death as if am gone
knowing nothing and withdrawn
steps up and steps down
signs and fears were even torn

I begged to my lord of blessing
and seen angels progressing
time was stopped and shocked
a moment of death is so distressing

I raised my hands high
and pleaded my heart with a sigh
a wave of glee ran down my spine
when a voice said to me goodbye!
