The Last Sunrise Poem by Asma Khan

The Last Sunrise

Rating: 4.5

I was an unknown blooming flower
building my compassion on tomorrow's tower

walked many milestones blindly for you
What life held for us, wasn't my clue

I kicked every stone and corner to get to you
and began to live with you with even in the blue

Time constrained our edges from everywhere
yet I never lost to dare

In all this while, we lost our auras
an opening into the door of pandoras

yet I bore feelings and contained our beings
but found you of nowhere in my meanings

You raved all leaves of autumn in time
and I remained lonely like a burnt lime

I laid on stumps of stalks and stubbles
Every now and then my dreams blew in bubbles

I never complained to you of any trouble
but my pains grew unquotable

How portable is love and life for you
just lock the feelings and have then threw

I never meant to weigh you in time and price
but we have come far from being water and ice

We couldn't grow up together building straws
hence I can't go on but must pause

May be some day you will be hurt
At that time you won't be able to revert

let's be happy it's going to end
I have nothing more to comprehend

No fears, grudges or feelings and pains
why and what happened is needless to explain

I promise that I won't fall in love again
life after you'd be enough for this pain

Thereby, I have to say good bye
for this is the only law to comply!
