The In The Closet Racists Poem by Hebert Logerie

The In The Closet Racists

The in the closet racists are functioning slyly
And ubiquitously at every level of our society
They are the janitors of the schools
They are the superintendents of the system
They are the athletes who swim in the pools
They are the cops who patrol the streets
They are the co-workers who work overtime
They are the people strolling in the parks
They are the ladies who smile all the time
They are the pilots at the airport
They are the treasurers who collect the taxes
They are the sailors at the old port
They are the teachers at the labs
They are the bosses of countless major corporations
They are the old ladies at the nursing rooms
They are the attendants at the gas station
They are the doctors who misdiagnosed the patients
They are the neighbors who borrow the brooms
They are the jewelers at the stores
They are the speakers at the seminars
They are the deacons who serve in the mega-church
They are the agencies that tease job seekers
They are the pastors who love kisses and hugs
They are the blue or white collar workers at the malls
The in closets racists are as sneaky and crazy as wild dogs.
