The Hypothetical 'Mr Right' Poem by Addy Adenawo

The Hypothetical 'Mr Right'

My kinda man is too perfect even for words
Smooth skinned without a single wart
But even that is quite far-fetch
Like wishing for a sea in the desert stretch
Perfect is boring and to maintain would be quite a feat
No element of surprise and sweeping off of feet
A strong willed man with a handful of flaws
Tall, dark and handsome that wouldn't hurt
Six pack and all with a killer sense of humor
Sensitive, christian and generous and willing to give more
Dedicated and hardworking, dependable and secure
Clouding the mind with bliss and turning old hurts into a blur
Sometimes wants are distorted by the state of the mind of the now
Every so often you don't know what you want until you take that vow
Better to get that jolt of surprise and wonder how you could have ever considered settling for less
Because though he drives you up the wall, love gently sets you back on your feet and a giddy sense of gratitude makes you feel so blessed
