A Sonnet For Maya Poem by Addy Adenawo

A Sonnet For Maya

Rating: 4.5

From the well of her being
Flowed a depth of humanity
She treaded a path, then beamed
A warmth that lights up humanity

Her finger tips pulsed
With wisdom and gave life
Every thing she touched
Found a reason to rise

Through the swish of a pen drawn
The grate on the white acre
Her words resonates beyond
The coarseness of paper

Virtue is not just moral
It is an angel named Maya

A heartwarming tribute to the Phenomenal Woman Of Substance. Well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction to capture her greatness and her immortal status as a poet. Lovely indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
