Should the horse be blamed, if the rider lost his way?
Isn't it he, who makes it sway?
Over its eyes, a blinder is wound,
Yet expected, to see all around.
Its sling is pulled, and its belly kicked
Slow and steady, its pace is picked.
But if kicked too hard, or pulled too strong
Or if this goes on and on for long,
The horse swoops tired, and falls to the ground;
Or neighs in retort, and rises high all around.
What the horse then does, be it either
Who's sure to fall? He, the rider.
But who's at fault, the horse or the rider?
