People Poem by Santhanagopalan Vasudevan

People

There's no-one in this world who lives all alone.
Atleast there's none who can so survive.
None can do all things on one's own.
None has all skills, to by oneself, thrive.
So many people, we all have met;
Each one of them, so different, yet.

There are always those near-dear ones
There are those we've met just once.
With the very first look, some strike a chord;
The same from some brings discord.
Some, with time, get along well
Some still remain at the same level
Some bring joy by speaking with them
Some bring joy by being with them.

Be it those we can't do without
Or those we wished to do without
Or those, we never knew, existed
Of all these people, our lives have consisted.

We've all had food someone else cooked well
Who cooked with what someone else did sell
Who sold what someone else had grown
Who grew them on a land someone else did own.

Some might show it, some might hide;
Yet we all need people, deep inside.
