The Glory Tree Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

The Glory Tree

Rating: 5.0

The glory tree lay broken upon the road forlorn
Its root uprooted and torn,
It was a tearing storm past midnight
That flung the blossoming tree into such a plight.

Some flowers of the tree are still clinging
Onto its branches and still dazzling,
They seem ignorant of the tragedy that has befallen
And so shake their head gleefully, in oblivion!

Beautiful poem. The glory is uprooted and fallen down but the flowers still swinging gleefully, unknown of they too are going to die very soon. Thoughtful write. Loved reading it.

Like children who play, ignorant of the fact that their parents have left their earthly life, the flowers on the fallen tree gleefully shake their heads in the wind without realizing that the parent tree has been uprooted by a heavy storm! Loved reading this beautiful poem!

Flowers are too innocent to feel the pain and tragedy struck to their body and soul........very nicely composed.... amazing piece
