The Fragile Life Poem by Weldon Davis

The Fragile Life

Open your mind
Follow you conscience to that place
Where dreams and reality meet
Build a house there
And reside

Live life out loud
Never hide
You can't! !
-Yet-
You can! !
Find comfort and peace
Contentment in your words
Your thoughts are eloquent

Always believe it is so
And it will be
Yes
It will be

It will be
Only if you let it

Only if you let love in
Will you begin
To embrace the beauty of
The fragile life

We so often disregard
We disregard the fact that there are
No guarantees
None
No

We look so far beyond
What's right in our face

What's right in our face
Is our mortality
Yes

We are all mortal
We are all fragile
We are all oblivious

To all this

Open
Find
Embrace

Our most precious
-Yet-
Most taken for granted resource

Our fragile lives
