The Floating Castle Poem by prita srini

The Floating Castle

Through the vast chambers as you see,
the lights of heaven cast upon me.
A light of hope they seem to be,
a ray laden of shadow within me.
You move with your castle rising high,
the faith on which the world rolled by.
Some soulful cries unheard in the tide,
In an ocean black a pearl of white.
Her shell she stored untold miseries,
rooted deep she bore unsolved mysteries.
Hear her tales from the roaring waves,
before you sing your words of praise.
Wet not your lips with her falling tears,
oh master of her bitter destiny,
oh king of her lost empire.
