The Finder Poem by Britt Veloso

The Finder

This isn't where I want to be
I want to be wild and free
This cement room cannot do
I want to be unchained and unglued
I'm drowning in my own air and spit
Please believe that I want bigger than this
This place is too tight for my soul to fit
I must leave and I may quit
I want to leave it here and never look back
Too bad it's improper to do just that
