Humankind is endowed, like the human body,
With two legs to walk in perfect harmony;
But unlike its male leg, the female one is wounded,
And needs urgent treatment to play its own role.

The community is affected by women's inability,
As one sick leg can make the body unstable;
And the resulting disorders create tensions.

Women's humanity is seen as lame and inferior,
And their behavior emotional and even irrational;
That opinion amputates humanity of one leg.

In some places girls are killed soon after birth,
And that leads to lopsidedness in demography;
Fidgeting with nature can be a leap in the dark.

In the closed circles of male-dominated families,
Women have no say on their lives and destinies;
Society fails to harness their vision and qualities.

Obscurantism puts women and girls in cages,
And struggles to keep all new ideas at bay,
But education deeply transforms the world.
