The Empty Glare Of The Sea Poem by Iris Mista

The Empty Glare Of The Sea

I wish me a tiny boat
The empty glare of the sea
No matter where I float
fusing winds make me flee

I'll look up to the sky
lifted by the waves
Weightless I will fly
while the water laves

Land will slowly disappear
forgotten as soon as I left
Existing, utterly limpid sheer
from any darkness bereft

My name will not be heard
My eyes stay unseen
I've never spoken a word
For then, I've never been
